This session is mainly about colouring our sketch.
We used Pantone Studio to take photos of our Mood board to create the colour story and then colour our Sketch according to the colour story. Since the colours of my mood board were not very rich, I only had the same colours for shooting, so I didn’t continue shooting after taking two pictures.
I am not good at this point, because I usually like to wear black clothes and seldom need to match colours. Therefore, I have spent a lot of effort on “how to put these colours together to make them look better”. Since we only need a rough colouring, not a lot of detail, this part is a little bit easier.
After the break, we explored the fabric. It was a novel process for me because I rarely thought about what kind of fabric should be used for each part of the clothes I designed before. I was not very familiar with the types of fabric, which made me determined to make efforts to broaden my knowledge in this field. And because my inspiration is a costume, it makes the choice of fabric clearer, but also loses some creativity, as if it has a correct answer, I need more time to explore.
