In this class, we mainly put together the structure of clothes in the form of collage with the two customised shoes we drew in Visual Studio 1 and drew illustrations on this basis.
This step was familiar to me after all the previous collages, and it wasn’t difficult to make a costume out of my customised shoes, which had unique decorations. I quickly finished the collage and began to shape it with tracing paper.
The colouring process is my favourite, and I’ve loved it since Giles showed me how to use water-soluble lead. And I felt comfortable that we didn’t have to draw the faces of the models ourselves. In fact, this was a part I was worried about because I was not good at drawing faces, and this time we just needed to trace the models’ faces with tracing paper, which was much easier for me. However, I am not going to avoid this problem. I will gradually improve my face drawing skills in my spare time to not be afraid of this matter in the future.
The highlight of my day was that my illustration was praised by Carlyn and posted on her Instagram page. It was an honour!
